Idyllica’s Shopfront Was Wrong on Google Maps. A 360 Tour Fixed It.

Wrong Business on Google Maps?

For months, anyone who looked up Idyllica’s new wine shop on Carrer del Bruc found a closed car garage staring back at them. The last Street View car had driven past in 2023, long before Idyllica moved in. We replaced that ghost of a previous tenant with a walkable Google Street View tour, so the real shop, and its 3,500 wines, finally show up where people look.

Move through the shop with your mouse or your finger. Look in any direction, follow the shelves, and judge the size and the range for yourself. This is the live tour, now attached to Idyllica’s Google Business Profile.

Why a Real Wine Shop Was Showing as a Garage

The Street View car captured the previous tenant in 2023

Google’s cars only pass a street every few years. The last drive past number 172 caught Automòbils i Motos Ratera, the motorbike garage that traded there before. That image stuck, so searchers met a shutter, not a sommelier.

Shoppers could not match the listing to the street

When the photo online looks nothing like the door in front of you, you hesitate. That hesitation is quiet, and it is expensive. Some people walk on, others never set off at all.

Thousands of wines, hidden until you were already inside

Idyllica had filled the space with reds, whites, cava, champagne, and a wall of spirits. None of it reached the customer through the listing. The shop was doing the convincing only after someone had already taken the risk of turning up.

What We Did: A Walkable 360 Tour, Published Straight to Google

A virtual visit the customer controls, corner to corner

We photographed the shop in 360 and stitched the frames into a smooth, navigable tour. Unlike a set of photos, the visitor decides where to look, so what they see is honest as well as inviting.

A current shopfront, branded with the Idyllica logo

The tour now opens on the real entrance, carrying the Idyllica logo. The front people see online finally matches the one on Carrer del Bruc, so the place is easy to recognise on arrival.

The full range on show, from Rioja to grower cava

Visitors can read the shelves, gauge the size of the room, and take in the calm, uncluttered layout before they commit to the trip. This is the same Indoor Google Street View service we run for shops and specialty retailers across Barcelona and Europe.

Why Store Two Got a Tour, Just Like Store One

Idyllica already had a virtual tour in their original Gràcia shop. They had watched it do real work, helping people plan a visit and arrive sure of the place, so giving the Bruc shop the same head start was an easy call rather than an experiment.

Thinking About a Virtual Tour for Your Own Shop?

Check what Google Maps shows at your address today

If the Street View car passed before you opened, your listing may still show whoever was there before. A Google virtual tour swaps that for your own space, current and branded, on your Google Business Profile.

Wine buyers choose on atmosphere, not just address

People pick a wine shop by how it feels and what it stocks. Let them browse first and you build trust early, and you pull in the customers who were always going to love the place.

Be the shop that can be explored, not just read about

When someone lines up three shops on Maps, the one they can walk through feels the safest bet. A tour is a quiet edge over every listing that is only a name, a pin, and a photo.

Easier for AI assistants to understand and recommend

Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude increasingly describe places and suggest where to go. A walkable tour hands them real spatial detail, so your shop is easier to read, trust, and recommend than a listing that cannot be explored.

Google Virtual Tours for Shops: Questions Owners Ask

Why does Google Maps show a different business at my address?

Google’s Street View car only passes occasionally, so a listing can keep showing whoever traded there last. A Google Street View tour lets you publish a current, branded view straight to your Google Business Profile, without waiting years for the car to return.

How do I change the Street View image of my shop?

You publish your own 360 tour. We capture your real shopfront and interior, then push the tour to your Google Business Profile, so your updated, logo branded entrance appears on Google Maps and Google Search.

Can you put the inside of my wine shop on Google Maps?

Yes. That is exactly what an Indoor Google Street View tour does: a walkable 360 view of your interior, attached to your listing, so customers can explore the shop before they visit.

How much does a Google virtual tour cost in Spain?

Most small shop projects land between around 247 euros, depending on the size of the space and the number of viewpoints. Request a free quote for an exact figure for your shop.

How long until the tour is live on Google?

Capture for a shop this size takes one to three hours. The finished tour is usually live on Google within three to five working days, and you can embed it on your website the same week.

Should a wine shop choose a Street View tour or Matterport?

Google Street View tour is built for public discovery on Maps and Search. A Matterport digital twin adds floor plans and measurements for your own sales and marketing. Plenty of shops use both.
